In 1967, the Australian Procurement Construction and Council (APCC) was created by government for government, to enable members to work together to collaborate and provide leadership to broader public sector and relevant industries. The APCC consists of Australian and New Zealand government agencies with responsibility for the disciplines of procurement, construction, asset management and property management policy and practice. The APCC does this by harnessing and leveraging the extensive knowledge and expertise of members to generate innovative solutions that add value to what and how they buy and build, and how they manage their assets.
The BIM Advisory Board was established by the Australasian Procurement and Construction Council (APCC) and the Australian Construction Industry Forum (ACIF), together with the key standard-setting bodies, NATSPEC, buildingSMART and Standards Australia. The Australasian BIM Advisory Board is a team of experts from government construction policy agencies, peak construction associations, and standard setting bodies who share their valuable knowledge, skill and experience to set and deliver on the Advisory Board’s strategic direction.
Australian Construction Industry Forum (ACIF) is the meeting place for leaders of the construction industry in Australia. ACIF facilitates and supports an active dialogue between the key players in residential and non-residential building, and engineering construction, other industry groups, and government agencies. ACIF’s Members are the most significant Associations in the industry, spanning the entire asset creation process from feasibility through design, cost planning, construction and building and management.
